What is the null hypothesis and what is the alternative hypothesis comparing men and women in height?

Hello guys I got this question for my statistics exam what should the answer be? considering P is %26lt; 0.05 we reject the null hypothesis





but what is the null and alternative hypothesis in this case?





Thanks|||The null hypothesis would be that men and women have the same average height. The alternative hypothesis could be either (a) men and women differ in average height (with no implication which is higher) or (b) men's average height is greater. The use of the second one could be justified by everyday observation.
