Help with null and alternative hypothesis scenario?

I need help with Null and Alternative hypothesis. My teacher wants me to create a scenario that has both a null and an alternative hypothesis but I am not sure how to do so. Can someone please help me?|||The null hypothesis is a guess about a population parameter. This could be anything. Your null hypothesis could be that 10% of Americans are left handed. It could be that the mean income of California residents is 50,000 a year. It could be the proportion of red M%26amp;Ms in a bag is 20%.

The alternative hypothesis is that the above isn't true. It can be greater, less than, or simply not equal to.

For example, let's say we take the M%26amp;M proportion example.

The null hypothesis would be that 20% of all M%26amp;Ms are red.

The alternative hypothesis could be that more than 20% of M%26amp;Ms are red. (it could be less than or not equal to as well)

H0: p=.2

Ha: p%26gt;.2
