What would the null and alternative hypothesis be for soldiers killed in Iraq?

I am completing a project in Business Statistics that has to do with the american soldiers killed in the Iraq war and need to submit a null and alternative hypothesis, but am having trouble coming up with them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.|||im guessing you are dealing with numbers so





H0: the number of american soldiers killed is the same, not changing





H1: the number of american soldiers killed is changing, (increasing or decreasing depending on your project)
